Gerald Jones, bluegrass musician extraordinaire, demos a bit of his classical music skill at my request, during the Mandolin workshop at the second Annual Bluegrass Heritage Festival at Arlington Texas, September 19, 2009. When I first met Gerald, he was playing banjo with a group of fellow college students; they called themselves Roanoke, after the Texas town near their college. Gerald has a MySpace and a website, both identified as TheGeraldJones, so you can see his performance schedule. On his website are career photos, including one of him in a tux, playing with the Dallas Lyric Opera, and some of him with Earl Scruggs. His MySpace showcases several of his performances.
